How I Do My Commissions

I ask for at least half of the payment before I begin and the other half before I send the finished piece.

Base Prices (based on size 9x12 paper):

Single Character Pencil Sketch (no background): $10

Each Additional Character in a Pencil Sketch: $5

Single Character Colored Pencil (no background): $20

Note: Above prices are the LOWEST that I will do the type of commission described, however if you describe to me a more complicated piece, the price may be higher then the base. I must have a complete description to quote you an accurate price.

I ask for payment in US funds, preferably Money Order or PayPal, but I will accept personal check. Checks must clear, however.

When you request a commission I MUST have a COMPLETE, DETAILED description of what you want: Species, pose, background, description of character, identifying marks, and any additional parts you think are important.

I make sure you are involved as it is worked on so you get just what you want :) This means that I will show you the preliminary sketch, the clean sketch, the initial coloring and the final color. You have the option of pointing out problems and asking me to change anything in the image up through the initial coloring.

I allow two re-draws after the preliminary coloring and one re-draw after the final coloring free of charge if you are not happy, after that any re-draws are $10 each. I keep the "mistakes".

I will not draw copyright characters, re-draw someone elses picture, or pink-bits. Sexy is ok, but I do not draw Yiff/Porn.

I ship flat between two pieces of cardboard, wrapped in paper to protect the image. Image is also secured in paper to prevent it rubbing on the board and smearing en-route. Shipping costs depend on location.

My best media are colored pencil and watercolor.

Larger paper sizes can be requested, however will be $5-$15 extra depending on the size of the paper.

Unless agreed upon beforehand, I own the copyright on the artwork created. You own the original work, but do not have a right to reproduce it unless I am asked first and agree. Buying the copyright from me is extra.

Out of respect, I do not make any prints of commissioned works unless specifically given permission.

How I Do My Trades

I rarely do trades.

IF I do take up the trade, I must have an exact description of what you want. Include everything, because for trades, I won't ask for anything extra, but go on my own best judgement.

I show you the sketch if you want, but then I color the whole thing. No multiple checks like with commissions.

No re-draw. If you want something changed, tell me at sketch stage.

I keep the original unless it was decided on ahead of time to trade the actual work. In which case, if YOU ask ME, then YOU send it first. If I asked for the trade, I'll send my half to you first.

How I Do My Requests

I don't.

You can suggest something if you want, but it may not get done.

Once every-other blue moon I might take a request. When I do, I keep the original, and retain the right to sell it or any prints there-of.
